Montblanc's Meisterstück collection always tells a story about writing. The latest edition to the Meisterstück collection is the Around the World in 80 Days (AW80D) writing instrument. Written by Jules Verne and published in 1873, AW80D tells the story of Phileas Fogg, a wealthy British gentleman, and his newly employed French valet, Passepartout, attempt to circumnavigate the world in 80 days on a £20,000 wager set by his friends at the Reform Club. This classique Meisterstück ballpoint pen features a cap and barrel crafted out of blue precious resin. The cap has delicately been engraved with significant elements from the AW80D story; ocean waves, card suits and steamboat. The platinum-coated clip features a black lacquered ace of spades at the base - representing the symbol of the wager set.
